Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi on Wednesday, won the 2025 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
His compatriot, Ghizlane Chebbak, also clinched the women’s prize in a ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.
Hakimi, who is Paris Saint-Germain’s vice-captain and a finalist in the last edition, succeds Ademola Lookman of Nigeria and Atalanta Football of Italy who won it in 2024.
Meanwhile, Nigeria picked two awards as the Super Falcons won the women team of the year just as Brighton’s goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie won the Goalkeeper of the Year (Women) for the third consecutive time.
